Can you imagine how differently game controllers would have evolved if  the improvements in the NES controller hadn’t happened? Famicom had  those hardwired controllers. The NES brought in the D-pad. And, most  importantly for apparel products based on the design, the initial  Famicom controllers had that horrible color scheme. Light grey is far  superior to that beet red.
